Reduce toxic load in laundry room

I thrift clothes for the kids often, and this last round of clothes were so heavily fragrant - I'm on the third round of a vinegar and baking soda soak in an effort to remove the smell.

There are so many other options that aren't detrimental to health & the environment. If you haven't made the laundry switch, it's an easy one!
