It takes forethought and a bit of preparation, but it is totally doable and will make your trip go so much smoother, and save you money in the end! Most of these can be adjusted to work even if you aren't driving to your destination.
1. AIR IT OUT!
As soon as we got to our air bnb, I opened all the doors and windows to air out the place from the likely toxic cleaning products used just hours prior.
2. BRING YOUR OWN FOOD!
If flying, just find a grocery store where you can buy quality, fresh food. This trip we loaded up a huge cooler and brought 2 broiler chickens, 2 filets of salmon, rice, olive oil, a gallon of raw milk to drink & one gallon to make yogurt (we also brought our instant pot and one of our all clad pans to cook on since most rentals come with non stick), fruit, veggies, eggs, kerrygold butter, organic coffee, apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, himalayan salt, & lots more! This also saves money because you're not having to eat out multiple times.
3. BRING YOUR OWN CLEANERS!
I packed @branchbasics all purpose spray & doterra hand soap.
4. PACK YOUR WELLNESS SUPPORT!
For us this time, we packed @leefyorganics PRANA, @bearroots_homestead salve, shilajit, & support oils like breathe and frankincense
5. BRING YOUR LAUNDRY DETERGENT!
I took our branch basics because it would be less of a bummer if I accidentally left it compared to my doterra detergent 😆. I did 3 loads of laundry before coming home!
6. If you're driving and have room, pack your air purifier!
We took our @airdoctorpro which filters 100% of airborne particles as small as 0.003 microns
7. Not in the video, but wanted to add, HAVE FUN!
Even if you can only do one of these things, relax and don't stress! Stress is the worse toxin of all!
These might seem "high maintenance" or unnecessary, but with a husband who manages an autoimmune disorder, quality food and decreasing toxic load is literally a lifeline. Or maybe it just seems different - because, well, it is. 😉 #differentiscool
Tell me something you do to decrease toxic load on vacation! There's so much more to add but that 30 second limit goes quick! 😅
